Construction Update: November 28, 2018

Wednesday, November 28, 2018 - 9:57pm

Building 1:  The slab on grade concrete pour was completed on Monday, November 26th. Forming of wall curbs has begun, and they will be poured early next week. Structural steel fabrication is in progress. The contractor relayed yesterday that steel erection will now occur in mid-January.

Building 2: Work will begin on grading the pad for the MP building once the smaller AKC portable is removed from the site.

Site Utilities: The gas meter has been set by the City and gas was restored to the site on Monday morning. The sewer line lateral will be installed by the City on Thursday, weather permitting.  Sausal Construction will complete the tie-in to the sewer lateral on Friday if all goes as planned.

The AKC portables are complete. The buildings will be scheduled for certification by PACCC once the sewer connection is complete (Friday). The fire marshal has done a preliminary walk through and approved the installation. We hopet he county’s certification visit will occur next week.

We have developed a planting plan along Lincoln, and staff is working on updating the cost proposal. The work will likely begin in mid-December. AKC building paint colors and roof treatment options are still being discussed.
